Case Study: Beginning in the third week of December 2008, I began my version of a case study on the Acme People Search Program offered by Tissa Godavitarne.

The reason I say "my version" of a case study is because I didn't really have the great video tools, such as Camtasia to document everything as well as I wanted. I did create around 5 Camstudio videos, which is kinda the cheap version of Camstasia, and really not what I wanted. However I went ahead with the project anyway.

My intention was to prove or disprove some skeptics that were posting on Scam sites. It seemed a lot of people were raving about Acme People Search, but there were also the usual "Scam Police" posters that didn't seem, in my opinion, to understand the program, or give it a fair representation. If someone fails at something, in my opinion, they are sometimes too quick too start yelling "Scam" and to me, that is not accurate.

I began advertising on Dec. 23rd. 2008. I had around a 300.00 dollar budget. I decided on Adwords. I picked a keyword term that I had researched that was People Search related. I did exactly what Tissa suggested to do in the Training. I also picked GDI as my host and for my domain, as suggested. And here are my results...

The Left Snapshot shows that I spent: 308.57 which was my budget for the project. The Amounts show amount spent from Dec. 23rd to Jan. 16th. Note: I had paused the account on Jan. 6th, because I had already met my budget.

Sales started kicking in on Jan. 7th, which was seemed odd at the time, because I had just stopped advertising. Here are the results:

Sales at clickbank for the week peeked at $451.96

Not bad, I'm thinking, at least I'm covering my costs. but wait...

We still have HD publishing and Reunion...

I started getting sales email notices from HD Publishing on the 7th as well. And check it out. $1094.43. Now keep in mind this is for the whole month of January. But remember, I stopped advertising on the 6th. Now Reunion...

Yes, you are seeing this correctly, that's 2,346.50 just for leads, and $75.00 in sales.

The only other thing I did, was put up a Squidoo page about my site, and I wrote 2 articles and put them on Ezine Articles. Squidoo and the Articles have driven some of the traffic, but not much.

To put it frankly, I was amazed. And kinda dumbfounded on how I could make that much on 308.57. That's the best ROI I had every seen. So I started really looking into what Tissa was doing with this program. And it turns out that this sales are driven by the autoresponder and emails he is sending out for us. This is absolutely brilliant the way the program is set up.

So obviously, I am running this again. I will post my results for it as well. For it seems that the sales are taking place about 2 weeks after people start opting in and doing searches. I should have those results in a week or so.

Hi Scott--

Congrats on your ROI. Can't beat that. I am kind of new to this PPC game, but was looking for a good niche to get into, which is where I found you in the scam.com forum. (Boy, a couple of those people are never going to make it, I think they just like stirring up trouble)

On a positive note, would you mind stating what kind of CPC you had with your campaign? I have not dug very deep keyword wise, but it sure seems to be a popular niche, which means there should be money there.

@Gary. I was getting a cpc average of .37 cents a click. That first picture has it circled, but it's hard to read. I kept a close eye on my quality score, and made adjustments along the way. I dropped any keywords that were not getting any clicks, etc. after 150 or so impressions. I tried to maintain a good quality score and Click thru ratio.

By the way, I'm running a second campaign that is doing just as well, so it's not a fluke.

What is meant by keyword related is anything related to a the people search industry. There are tons of them.

Go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Type in People Search, you should get plenty of results and ideas for domains, a lot of them may not be available, but you can get creative.

I use Google Adwords and I use some of the free and paid tools listed on this site. I only used Google Adwords for the Case Study http://programreview.instantaffiliatewebsite.com/free_website_traffic such as Instant Buzz.
